My name is David Lewis and I am the owner and Chief Operating Officer of Premier Glass Tinting. I began my career in the window film business in 1989 as an installer of 3M window film for the 3M Northeast Distributor. Six years later, in 1995, I was selected by 3M to represent their company as an authorized 3M dealer. In September of 2006 3M introduced a new line of film known as Prestige. During this time, Premier Glass Tinting, was one of the few 3M dealers selected and authorized by 3M to market and install this new line of Prestige film. As the owner of Premier Glass Tinting, I have personally installed over one million square feet of 3M film in a number of the most prestigious homes and buildings in and around the Baltimore Washington corridor.

THE DEALER DIFFERENCE

If most tinting companies use the same basic methods of installing film why can the results differ so greatly?

The short answer is… experience…

As a result of installing 3M Window Film for 19 years I and have developed techniques for each type of window frame that provides my customers with the cleanest application possible. Window film is a thin and fragile material, easily damaged by creases and wrinkles. Simple things such as knowing how to handle the film can only come with experience.

Experience can only come with time…

Only an experienced installer can provide their customers with a clean close fit. There should always be a small amount of space (gap) between the film and window edge. Large uneven gaps or jagged cuts are unsightly. As a result of many years in the industry, the techniques I have developed through the years give my customers the most attractive finish possible.

The major difference…

As we all know it is extremely difficult to find good reliable contractors today. As the owner of Premier Glass Tinting I personally perform all residential installations myself. My customers can rest with ease, as they will not have to worry about someone else entering their home after the contract is signed. The truth of the matter is that I could not possibly hire anyone that would be as careful or take more pride in their workmanship as I would being, the actual person that owns the company. Every tinting company that exists today will claim to be the biggest and best. Premier Glass Tinting may not be the biggest but I give you my word that we are the best.
